The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management has launched a new survey about the changing nature of the PR function, in partnership with Caliber, the leading stakeholder intelligence company.
The Global Communications Intelligence Pulse 2026 explores how communications professionals are navigating stakeholder intelligence, reputation management, AI adoption, data-driven decision-making, and the evolving role of the communications function.
Any member of the public relations and communications industry, as well as those working in related areas such as ESG, marketing and investor relations, can complete the 10-minute survey here: Help Shape the Future of Communications.
In addition, the Global Alliance intends to organise a series of focus groups with industry association CEOs to explore how demand for their services is changing and to map best practices for supporting practitioners.
In a rapidly changing landscape, the findings will identify emerging trends, capability gaps, and practical approaches that can help strengthen the profession worldwide.
Professor Justin Green, CEO and President of the Global Alliance, said: “It is central to the mission of the Global Alliance that we prepare our 360,000 members around the world for the unprecedented changes currently taking place in the public relations and communications industry. We are grateful to partner with Caliber to help understand practitioner need and adoption of new responsibilities and technologies, and how our industry association and academic members can support them.”
Shahar Silbershatz, CEO and co-founder of Caliber, added: “Communications professionals face an increasingly complex world, and understanding how to respond, from adopting new technologies to rethinking the role of the function within the business, matters enormously. As the leading stakeholder intelligence company, we strive to give organisations the insights they need to build trust, protect their reputation, and make better decisions. We’re proud to partner with the Global Alliance on this research, and look forward to sharing what we learn with practitioners.”
