The Brazilian Association for Business Communication ABREJE and Global Alliance Latin America Regional Council will host an online session on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, exploring how the 2026 election cycle across Latin America and the United States is shaping the environment for business, communications and public affairs.
Titled “Latin America and the United States’ 2026 Election Cycle: The Landscape for Business and Communications,” the session will examine key electoral processes across the region, emerging political trends, and their potential impact on the political, regulatory and reputational landscape in which organisations operate.
The discussion will be moderated by Hamilton dos Santos, CEO of Aberje and Chair of the Global Alliance Latin America Regional Council. He will be joined by Dan Doherty, Global Chair of Corporate Affairs, and Thyago Mathias, Vice President of Advocacy & Public Affairs for Latin America, both from SEC Newgate, a global strategic communications and advocacy group headquartered in Washington, D.C.
The session is part of the ongoing programme of activities led by the Global Alliance Latin America Regional Council to promote dialogue and knowledge-sharing on issues affecting the public relations and communication profession across the region.
